Scrapbooking with Jane...again!

Jane and I went scrapbooking again last night, and again were super productive.

We'd ordered pizza the last couple of times we were here, so this time we decided to be healthy and get take out salads from the salad bar at the grocery store on the way there.

Yum!

It was a pretty full house last night, and one of the women showed me a new product that I'd never seen before: the Snapload system from Pioneer.

The instructions aren't particularly clear, so luckily I she helped me set it up.

Basically, this system replaces the posts (and the post extensions) in post bound scrapbooks in a way that allowed you to MUCH more easily add, take out and re-arrange pages. You put 3M holders on each side of the scrapbook, and then use the binding thingy (which are just similar to zip ties) to go through the pages in the holes, tighten the pages together, and then snap into place.

I'd been wanted to add some more pages to the wedding scrapbook, so I could include pictures of the rehearsal dinner and the honeymoon, but hadn't yet because I'd dreaded messing around with the posts. Now I can add pages whenever I want without anxiety.

Here are the five pages I got done last night:

The N-boy and I right before the ceremony.

The Gerth Family!

Some pictures of my dress, shoes and flowers.

The N-boy and I with our best-woman and maid of honor.

And my FAVORITE picture of last night!

Scrapbooking with Jane!

Last Friday night Jane and I went scrapbooking at our local store. They have a crop every weekend on either Friday or Saturday night. If we keep this up, I might actually manage to finish my wedding album!!!

Part of the deal is that we get snacks and drinks.
Theresa, the shop owner, always seems to have one of my favorite sodas:

Jane's working on an album for her kitty-cats. It's a 8x8 album, and it's coming together beautifully!

This is one of my favorite pages that she's done so far. This is one of her kitties-Mr. Yellow.

Here's one of the pages I got done. I finished five more! Woohoo!

Jane and I are all set to go again on April 30.
It's lots of fun and it's nice to get away from our respective DHs, not that we don't love them!

The Momcat rolled in to town on Sunday and we drove down to Paducah, KY today. Tomorrow we start at the quilt show at 8:00 am! Pictures and adventures will be forthcoming!

Moving into March!

Well February was pretty much a bust for crafting and blogging of any kind. However, I made LOTS of progress on the health and fitness front and worked out EVERY day in February. Some days that was just a short 20 minute walk on Floyd (the treadmill!), but I'm also now onto week 6 of the c25k program! Woohoo!

I did, however, have a great time at an evening crop with one of my friends, and got three more pages done in the wedding scrapbook!

In March, though, I'd like to be a little more balanced with the things that I'm working on in 2010. So, with that in mind, here's the March list!

1. Work out for at least 1250 minutes.
2. Write 12 Blog entries.
3. Finish piecing Crown Jewel top.
4. Get John Flynn set up and practice 1 piece.
5. Write Grandpa 4 letters, write 4 other letters.
6. Read 10 books and track them.
7. Attend Mass 2 times.
8. Do Kelly's Missions each week.
9. Attend NAMI support group 2 times.
10. Decide on bedroom paint color and furniture.
11. Lay out garden on graph paper.
12. Scrapbook 5 pages
